Adventures in accent walls

My new room is officially painted!

I had originally wanted to go with a dark purple. These were all of my options.

I aso randomly decided to pick up a few turquise and aqua colored paint chips and I’m glad I did because after staring at the [albeit gorgeous] purple paint chips for ages, I decided the turquoise was much more me.

This was the way it looked before we started.

Halfway there! one coat down, one to go!

Andddd finished! I wanted the shelf sticking out to really pop so I left it white.

The entire thing took about 4-5 hours through the course of the day. We had to tape the entire room, paint the first layer, wait several hours, paint the second layer, and then go back the next day to take the tape off.

But yay! I’m moving in tomorrow!

  1. Could you tell me the actual name of this color? I have a yellowish tan in my bedroom now, I am going to paint a little more of a brownish tan color and want a turquoise accent wall for our black bed with white bedding. I love your color!
