Dresden monsters

While I was waiting for my quilt batting to arrive, I may have accidentally wandered into the fabric store and wandered out again with more fabric. And it’s possible that the finished dimensions of this quilt are going to be bigger than the first one. Whoops.

In my defense, the first quilt turned out rather boyish and aren’t these fabrics just adorbs together?

This one is taking much more time, even though it requires only twenty (much bigger) squares (the other one was made up of sixty-four smaller ones). So far I’ve only finished one complete square, and have started maybe seven more.

Doesn’t it just make you want to puke happily on a prairie?

In other news, I am awful at sewing in circles.

  1. Everyone finds sewing circles to be a challenge. Did you applique those hearts? Honestly Pingzle is there nothing you can’t do and do beautifully?????
And I must say that bringing home a bunch of fabric is such a visceral thrill for me..such a small bag that turns into an entire quilt I go to visit my quiltshop even when I have no plans for a new project…just to see all the new fabrics.
I have been impaired by my mobility problems and the need to be taken everywhere by husband. Husbands do not do well in quilt shops so quilt shop owner put a big oldchair up front for husbands to doze in…have you noticed that
g need to boil some eggs for deviled eggs……..
